Dr Sarah qualified from King’s College London with distinction before going to complete her vocational training at the much sought-after London deanery.
Dr Akram ranked first place in the short-listing process for this prestigious establishment.
After spending a year in practice, Dr Akram then embarked on a year as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. With her time divided between UCLH, Eastman Dental Hospital, and Great Ormand Street Hospital, Dr Akram gained experience in managing head and neck trauma, oncology, facial pain clinics, and oral medicine, as well as complex surgical cases. During this time, Dr Akram also completed her diploma for the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr Akram commenced her specialist training in orthodontics at Guy’s Hospital and Kingston Hospital whilst simultaneously completing an MSc in 3D Imaging Applications in Modern Orthodontics.
She has a wealth of knowledge in using both clear and fixed braces in both children and adults. Ranging from routine cosmetic treatments to more complex orthodontic issues.
